The GREEK WAR OF INDEPENDENCE against the Ottoman Empire began in 1821 and led to the establishment of Greece’s first official government. This struggle sent shockwaves through the Western world, inspiring foreign forces to join in support. The war left a lasting impact on the Greek people, with consequences still felt today. Among the most overlooked are the orphaned children of the war, many of whom found refuge in America.
Today, we honor the past that continues to teach us and look ahead to the future, carrying forward the lessons of history.

Crafted using an embossing technique with a gold overlay on wood, these masks are believed to signify status and wealth.
